At every point during the Golden Boot Game season a Spot Prize competition will run alongside the main competition. So, no matter what position your team is in the overall table, they will still have opportunities to win prizes.
The rules for Spot Prize competitions will never contradict the rules for the overall game. So, we could never award a prize for the most one point goals scored because players would need to decide whether to put the most likely scorer in the first or last position.
We can, however, base a Spot Prize on the most 8 points goals scored
because players would already be putting their most likely scorer in the first position.
The team that scores the most total goals in the seven weeks of this competion will win the Spot Prize.
If two or more teams score the same total of goals, the one with the most 8 point goals will be the winner.
Should there still be a tie, the number of seven point goals, six point goals etc. will be used until there is a winner.

In Week 8 only 8-point goals will count one point each. In Week 9 8-point goals will count two points each and 7-point goals will count one point each. In week 10 8-point goals will count three points each, 7-point goals will count two points each and 6-point goals will count one point each. Each subsequent week the next category of goals will be added to those that count and the value of each counting category will be increased by one until, in Week 15, normal Golden Boot game scoring will be reached. The team with the highest total points after week 15 will be the winner.
In the event of a tie the total number of goals in the eight weeks will be used as a tie break, then the number of eight point goals etc.

For the eight weeks of this Spot Prize, each week will be treated as a separate competition with points scored in the same way as the Golden Boot Game.
Each week, the number of points scored by each team will be equal to their position in that week's competition.
The team that scores the fewest overall points in the eight weeks of the competition will win the Spot Prize.
If two or more teams have the same number of points, the one with the lowest points in its best week will be the winner.
Should there still be a tie, the lowest points in the teams' second best week, third best week etc. will be taken into account until there is a winner.
If any team joins the game after the first week of the competition their position and points for the weekly competitions they have missed will be determined as if they had scored no points in those weeks.

For each of the six weeks of this competition the total number of goals scored by your team will count towards your score.
Each week will have a multiplier which will be used to determine your points for that week. For Week 30 the multiplier is 1, for week 31 it is 2 etc. until week 35 when the multiplier is 6. So, each week your total goals times the multiplier will give your points for that week.
In the event of a tie for first place the tie break will be the number of goals scored in Week 30, then Week 29, Week 28 etc.
